What is Coco Mom Day?

Coco Mom Day was founded in 2021 by the American company Coco Bump, which focuses on inclusive pregnancy care for women of colour. The day was intentionally placed in May, as a meaningful extension of traditional Mother’s Day celebrations.

Coco Bump’s mission was to highlight the gap in maternal care and to offer a platform that celebrates, supports, and empowers Black and Brown mothers. The initiative quickly gained attention beyond the United States and inspired global engagement.
