Engineer’s Day is observed in Bolivia every October 5 to commemorate the foundation of the Engineers Society of Bolivia, which was established on October 5, 1922. This holiday recognizes the significance of engineers in the country, with the first engineer enrollment registry created on November 5, 1905, listing approximately 24,990 engineers. The Engineers Society plays a crucial role in the professional lives of its members by protecting their interests, offering professional orientation services, and organizing seminars focused on employment stability. The society is also authorized to oversee and recommend projects for public and private sectors. Additionally, in 1997, the society celebrated its 75th anniversary, which was marked by the issuance of special memorial postage stamps by the Bolivian government.
