The day marks the anniversary of January 1, 1886, when Ramakrishna entered a profound spiritual state in a garden in Cossipore, where he imparted cosmic knowledge to his followers. Celebrations are held worldwide, with the largest festivities taking place at the garden house in Cossipore, where devotees engage in prayers, rituals, and reflections on Ramakrishna's teachings. The festival symbolizes the wish-fulfilling tree, kalpavriksha, from Hindu mythology, representing the fulfillment of spiritual desires and enlightenment.
