Masseur Day, also known as Massage Therapist Day, is observed in Ukraine every February 7. This unofficial professional holiday was established by the Ukrainian Massage Federation and has been celebrated annually since 2019. It is recognized by the Professional Association of Masseurs of Ukraine, medical centers, sports clubs, and individual masseurs and masseuses across the country. The day aims to educate the public about the health benefits of various types of massage and to highlight the importance of the massage profession. The practice of massage has ancient roots, with evidence found in civilizations such as China, Egypt, and Greece, and it has evolved significantly over time, particularly with the contributions of figures like Pehr Henrik Ling, who is known as the father of modern massage.
