Cultural Worker's Day is observed in Russia every March 25, celebrating representatives of creative professions, including artists, library workers, museum staff, and cultural center employees. Established in 2007, this professional holiday aims to honor those who contribute to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage. The initiative for a unified holiday came from Alexander Sokolov, the then-Culture Minister, who believed it should hold official status alongside other professional holidays. President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to formalize the holiday, with the first celebration taking place in 2008. On this day, professionals in various fields of art and culture receive congratulations and recognition for their contributions.
