National Rosé Day is observed worldwide every second Saturday of June. This unofficial holiday was initiated by the rosé wine house Bodvár to promote the enjoyment of rosé wine and celebrate all things pink. While many mistakenly believe that rosé is made by mixing red and white wines, it is primarily produced using the skin contact method, allowing the skins of black-skinned grapes to macerate with the juice for a short period. Historically, the French region of Provence has been a significant center for rosé production, accounting for a large portion of its wine output. The day is celebrated by hosting pink-themed parties, attending rosé wine tastings, or creating refreshing rosé cocktails. Rosé wines are versatile and pair well with various dishes, including charcuterie, seafood, and fruity desserts.
