June 25: Customs Officer’s Day (Ukraine)

Customs Officer’s Day is observed in Ukraine every June 25, celebrating the vital role of customs officers in ensuring customs security and protecting the country's economic interests. The holiday has its origins in the establishment of the Customs Service Day in 1992, which was later reestablished as Customs Officer’s Day in 2020. This date commemorates the adoption of the law “On Customs in Ukraine” in 1991. The State Customs Service of Ukraine, created in 2019, consists of 16 territorial bodies and two specialized bodies, each functioning as a separate legal entity. On this day, employees receive congratulations and gratitude from the country's leadership, and those who have excelled in their duties may be awarded state honors and certificates. Although it is an official holiday, it is not a non-working day.
