International Cake Day is observed worldwide every July 20. It was founded by the Kingdom of Love, an international non-commercial project focused on cultural, humanitarian, and peacemaking initiatives. The first celebration took place in 2011 across nine countries, including Russia, Ukraine, and the United States, under the motto “I Cake You.” The day symbolizes friendship, peace, and mutual understanding among nations, with each year featuring a unique theme chosen by the organizing committee. Past themes have included Space, Planet of Love, and Garden of Love. Celebrations often involve hosting tea parties, attending cake decorating workshops, participating in confectionery fairs, or simply enjoying a slice of cake, emphasizing the joy that cake brings to gatherings.
