Police Day is observed in Armenia every April 16, commemorating the establishment of the Armenian Police. This celebration began in 2002, following the adoption of the Law on Police by the National Assembly on April 16, 2001, which outlined the police's tasks, powers, and legal framework. On this day, police officers receive congratulations from the President and other officials. Traditional customs include a military parade and a ceremony to lay wreaths at the graves of officers who died in the line of duty. Additionally, a special concert is organized for police officers in the evening, marking the significance of their service and sacrifice.
