The game, also known as 'Ringer' or 'Ring Taw,' involves two teams of six players each, who take turns using larger marbles to knock smaller marbles out of a designated ring. The team that successfully knocks out the most marbles wins the game. Over the years, the tournament has evolved, with international participation increasing since the first overseas team won in 1992.
