State Executive Service Day is observed in Ukraine every December 17. Established in 2009, this professional holiday honors the employees of the State Executive Service of Ukraine, which operates under the Ministry of Justice. The State Executive Service is tasked with executing decisions from courts and other judicial bodies in accordance with Ukrainian legislation. The legal framework governing this service is outlined in the Laws “On the State Executive Service” and “On Executive Proceedings.” However, there are plans to potentially dissolve the State Executive Service, as indicated by former Minister of Justice Pavlo Petrenko following the 2014 Revolution. He proposed replacing it with individual administrators for government functions, although such reforms would take time to implement.
