Customs Officers' Day, also known as Customs Day, is observed in Kyrgyzstan every December 31. Established by the government in 2006, this professional holiday commemorates the anniversary of the decree “On the Formation of the State Customs Inspectorate of the Kyrgyz Republic,” issued on December 31, 1991, which laid the foundation for the country's customs policy. The day celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Customs and aims to uphold the traditions of the customs service. On this day, customs officers are congratulated by government officials, superiors, family, and friends. Many officers are recognized for their hard work and dedication with special awards and prizes.
