State Flag Day is observed in Mongolia on July 10 each year, marking the eve of the Naadam festival, which is celebrated from July 11 to July 13. This day commemorates the anniversary of the Mongolian Revolution of 1921, which led to the establishment of the Mongolian People’s Republic. The current national flag, adopted on January 12, 1992, features two vertical red stripes and a blue stripe in the middle, symbolizing the blue sky and fire, respectively. A yellow Soyombo symbol, representing Mongolia's national identity, is located on the leftmost stripe. The celebration includes a military parade presided over by the President of Mongolia at Sükhbaatar Square in Ulaanbaatar, along with political speeches, a state awards ceremony, and festive activities such as concerts and fireworks. State Flag Day also honors the founding of the Mongol Empire and the Bodg Khanate, as well as the 1990 Democratic Revolution.
