Special Operations Forces Remembrance Day is observed in Ukraine every July 29, commemorating the sacrifice of a special operations group from the 3rd Regiment, named after Prince Svyatoslav the Brave, during a combat mission in the Donetsk region in 2014. The official motto of the SOF is “I’m coming for you!” and their emblem features a werewolf, symbolizing their unique capabilities in intelligence and direct combat operations. Although July 29 was previously celebrated as Special Operations Forces Day, it is now specifically designated as Remembrance Day to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
