FND Awareness Day UK is observed every March 25 to promote understanding of functional neurological disorder (FND), a complex condition affecting how the brain communicates with the body. Launched in 2017, the day brings together patients, families, healthcare professionals, and charities across the UK to organize events and share information on social media. Participants aim to support those affected by FND, advocate for better access to specialist care, and raise funds for research. The condition can lead to various symptoms, including paralysis, seizures, and chronic pain, and is often misdiagnosed, complicating treatment efforts. Additionally, there is an International FND Awareness Day observed annually on April 13, initiated by the global charity FND Hope.
