Refoundation Day is observed in Niger every March 26, commemorating the formal swearing-in of Abdourahamane Tchiani as the transitional president following the 2023 coup d'état. This public holiday marks the anniversary of the Charter of Refoundation, which established the National Council for the Safeguard of the Homeland (CNSP) as the governing authority and initiated a five-year political transition.
