World NET Cancer Day, also known as NET Cancer Day and Worldwide NET Cancer Awareness Day, is observed worldwide every November 10. Established in 2010 by the World NET Community Steering Committee, the day aims to give a voice to the neuroendocrine tumor (NET) community and highlight the challenges of diagnosing this rare form of cancer. Neuroendocrine tumors arise from cells of the nervous and endocrine systems and can occur in various body parts, including the intestine, pancreas, and lungs. The observance is coordinated by the International Neuroendocrine Cancer Alliance (INCA), which represents over 30 patient advocacy and research groups globally. Participants may wear a zebra print ribbon, attend events organized by INCA member organizations, share personal stories online, and use the hashtag #WorldNETCancerDay to promote awareness and support for those affected by NETs.
