The inaugural celebration, known as Edge Fest, took place at the Karma night club in Boston, Massachusetts, featuring bands such as Ten Yard Fight, In My Eyes, and Bane. Since then, National Edge Day has been observed annually in Boston and has expanded to other cities across the United States and internationally, including Sweden, the UK, and Malaysia. Celebrations typically involve local live shows featuring hardcore bands that identify with the straight edge ethos.
