Manufacturing Day is celebrated on the first Friday of October in the United States and Canada. Founded by The Manufacturing Institute and the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association International, this day aims to change perceptions of modern manufacturing and provide a platform for industry professionals to share their experiences. Events are hosted by hundreds of manufacturers across all fifty states and Puerto Rico, inviting community members to participate in tours, information sessions, and job fairs. The day encourages engagement with potential customers and the next generation of workers, particularly in STEM fields. Additionally, educational opportunities such as watching documentaries about manufacturing are promoted to raise awareness and interest in the industry.
