Giving Hearts Day is an annual charitable campaign observed in the United States on every second Thursday of February. Launched in 2008 by the Dakota Medical Foundation, Impact Foundation, and the Alex Stern Family Foundation, it serves as a 24-hour fundraiser for various charities in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. The campaign encourages individuals to show affection not only to loved ones but also to charities that resonate with them, supporting causes such as addiction recovery, animal welfare, education, and mental health. Participants can donate money, volunteer, or organize community fundraisers, with a minimum donation of $10 made directly to the charities through the Giving Hearts Day website. The event has grown to be one of the most successful fundraising initiatives in the U.S., often referred to as the "Super Bowl of giving" in the Upper Midwest.
