Army Day in Chile, known as Día de las Glorias del Ejército, is observed every September 19 as part of the two-day Fiestas Patrias celebration, which begins with Independence Day on September 18. Army Day was formally established in 1915 and features the Great Military Parade, showcasing all branches of the Armed Forces and the Carabineros de Chile. The main parade occurs in O'Higgins Park in Santiago, with smaller parades held in other cities. Although Army Day marks the end of the Fiestas Patrias, celebrations can unofficially extend for about a week, with many schools and businesses observing a week-long vacation.
