Notaries Day is observed in Ukraine every September 2. Established in 2010 by President Victor Yuschenko, this professional holiday recognizes the contributions of civil-law notaries to the legal system and the protection of rights and interests of citizens, enterprises, and organizations. The idea for the celebration originated in 2007 from the Notary Chamber of Ukraine, which is a nonprofit professional association for notaries. The day serves to honor the role of notaries in drafting and recording legal instruments, providing legal advice, and ensuring the integrity of legal processes. Although Notaries Day is significant, it is not a non-working day unless it coincides with a weekend.
