On this day, various activities are organized, including presidential decrees to award outstanding teachers with memorial prizes and cash awards. Graduates often hold annual meetings to express gratitude to their teachers, while students typically prepare concerts and performances to celebrate the occasion. All governmental and public institutions are closed, providing an additional day off for students and teachers.
