Children’s Day, known as Wan Dek in Thai, is observed in Thailand every second Saturday of January. This celebration emphasizes the importance of children in the country's development and features various activities designed for their enjoyment and education. His Majesty the King traditionally offers advice to children, while the Supreme Monarch Patriarch provides moral teachings. The Prime Minister of Thailand announces a specific slogan and theme for the day. Notable events include guided tours at the Government House, where children can visit the Prime Minister's office, and exhibitions by the Royal Thai Air Force showcasing aircraft. Additionally, Bangkok Bank distributes school supplies like pencils and notebooks to children visiting the bank, and many organizations host various celebratory activities. Children are also granted free access to zoos and public buses on this day.
