The holiday recognizes the historical significance of Champagne production, which evolved from accidental fermentation in the region's cold climate to a refined process involving innovations like pressure-resistant bottles and riddling techniques. Only wines produced in Champagne by traditional methods can be labeled as Champagne, as protected by French law. If no events are available, individuals are encouraged to celebrate by enjoying a glass of Champagne with loved ones.
