San Fabian Day (Araw ng San Fabian) is observed in the municipality of San Fabian, located in the coastal province of Pangasinan in the Philippines, every March 21. This special non-working holiday commemorates the town's founding anniversary, which dates back to March 21, 1717, when the Spanish Supreme Court officially established the town, naming it after Pope Fabian. The area was originally an independent barangay named Angio. San Fabian has a rich history, including boundary disputes with neighboring Mangaldan that lasted nearly a century and significant events during the Philippine-American War and World War II. Today, the municipality is known for its beaches and dried fish products, and the celebration of San Fabian Day reflects local pride and heritage. The holiday was first designated in 2016 and later officially recognized as an annual event by the Philippine Senate in 2018.
