The Marine Corps, known as the Marine Corps of the Indonesian Navy (Korps Marinir Tentara Nasional Indonesia-Angkatan Laut), participates in various military operations and is equipped with a range of vehicles and weaponry. Indonesian marines are identifiable by their purple berets, which feature the Marine Corps emblem that includes a golden anchor, a blue lotus flower, and the motto “Glorious on the Land and Sea” in Sanskrit.
